Have you registered for the Hewitt Best Employers in Asia 2009 study yet?
We recently announced the launch of the Hewitt Best Employers in Asia 2009 study.
Companies and institutions interested in participating in this study are requested to
register before July 2008 by visiting www.hewitt.com/bestemployersasia.
The study is expected to be the largest employee research project in Asia, and the
largest market practice audit in Asia, with even more markets to be surveyed for the
2009 report.
This is the fifth study in Hewitt's ongoing research into talent management, people
practices and business performance and results will be published in early 2009. The
2009 research study has been expanded to also include Malaysia and Thailand in a
response to the growing demand for talent management insights in these key markets.
With nine markets in total (Australia and New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan,
Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand), this will almost certainly produce a study
representing the views of close to two million employees in Asia.
The 2009 study will also include a new dimension in the employee research to
provide insights into the personal values of Asian employees and how these compare to
the corporate values of the organizations for which they work.
Eric Fiedler, Regional Consulting Leader for Hewitt in Asia Pacific, said: "Hewitt's
Best Employers study continues to provide a definitive benchmark of how organizations
measure their effectiveness in providing a working environment that engages their
employees and delivers value. It provides clear insights into how organizations can
achieve a real competitive advantage through their people.
"Most organizations are not Best Employers yet, and so we find that the majority
of participants join the study to learn how they can move themselves along on this
journey. For many organizations, it is as much about the findings and learning as it is
about being named a Hewitt Best Employer.
"The 2009 study will see the introduction of some exciting and new research
initiatives, and will include what we believe to be the largest ever survey of the values
of Asian employees. The study will also look at how organizations are meeting the
challenges arising from talent scarcity, along with the corresponding challenges of
delivering effective rewards in this dynamic region. It will provide insights into the
experiences of one of the fastest growing segments of the Asian workforce: contractors
and part-timers. And, for the first time, we will also explore the issues of workplace
diversity in considerable detail."
Hewitt will once again partner with leading media and academic organizations to
deliver the Hewitt Best Employers in Asia 2009 study.
The Hewitt Best Employers are selected by an independent judging panel comprised
of leading academics in Asia and a number of recognized business leaders. Details of
these partnerships and judging panels will be announced in the coming months with
the official launch of the study in July 2008.
Surveying will commence in September 2008. Further information can be found at
www.bestemployersasia.com.
