Around the World with Total Rewards, Mumbai 2009 was delivered by Hewitt Content Leaders who examined creative and innovative ways to solve the newer challenges of managing and rewarding talent. The seminar combined invaluable insights shared by Business Leaders from India’s leading organizations who discussed their deep-seated experience, winning strategies, internal case studies and invaluable take-home action plans.
The day long conference was addressed by Business Leaders, Human Resource Heads and Compensation & Reward Experts. Following were the discussion points:
- Opportunity to reshape Rewards—Learnings from the slowdown
- Changing role of Remuneration Committees
- What's next? Projecting the future of variable compensation
- Hewitt insights—Rewards outlook 2010 & Beyond
Managers had been under tremendous pressure to weather the storm and also focus on revival. There was a strong need for a quick assessment of the human capital strategy, in order to build a plan for both the 'dip' and 'recovery'. This compelled organizations to adopt a more strategic approach to performance & rewards, based on their strategic goals, ability to pay and critical talent needs. This resulted in new thinking on pay for performance, a debate between values versus valuations, connect between engagement and rewards.
Rather than analyze the 'why's' and the 'how's' of the past, the action points and ideas on 'what next' were discussed with thought leaders from Hewitt and the Industry.
