Hewitt can administer flexible benefits as part of the compensation design of a company. Each employee is given the flexibility to allocate a specified amount of money into several ‘baskets' provided by the employer, which are normally company-specific and grade dependent. The employee has the option of moving his funds between baskets in order to secure the solution that best meets his requirements.
Hewitt receives a breakdown of each employee's flexi benefits basket, after which the fixed components are paid via regular payroll and those components to be paid through vouchers are transferred to a reimbursement basket. Employees then submit a bill for payment.
