I. Industry Surveys
Hewitt leads several industry forum surveys in countries across the Middle East. These surveys are conducted annually and span across sectors such as banking and financial services, real estate and telecom. Each forum member gets customized reports on benchmarked positions across critical job families and levels. Detailed benefits and HR practices analysis is also provided to each of the forum participants, along with reports on projected salary increases. Additional services such as payroll analysis and peer group comparison reports are made available depending on individual forum member requirements.

I A. Banking Forums
Hewitt conducts banking forums in Bahrain, Jordan, Oman, Qatar and UAE at present. We are launching banking forums in Egypt, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia this year. In the 2009 edition of the banking forums, we have introduced a Workforce Planning study in parallel to the Rewards Study. This study would highlight key productivity related benchmarks in the banking sector and areas of possible focus in the area of workforce planning.
1) Bahrain
Hewitt has been running banking forums in Bahrain since 2001. In 2008, 9 Hewitt levels, 200+ positions and 23 employee benefits & practices policies across 10 job families in Commercial Banking were studied. 7 banks participated in the study.

Hewitt has been running banking forums in Jordan since 2001. In 2008, 9 Hewitt levels, 180+ positions and 27 employee benefits & practices policies across 7 job families in Commercial Banking were studied. The study also covered 9 Hewitt levels and 60+ positions across 7 job families in Investment Banking. In all, 16 organizations participated across Commercial Banking and Investment Banking sectors.

I B. Middle East Telecom Forum
Hewitt has launched the Middle East Telecom forum for the first time covering the 6 GCC countries of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and UAE. The study covers 9 Hewitt levels, more than 100 positions and 5 common benefits policies across 11 job families. Major telecom companies of the region have confirmed participation in the study.

I C. Real Estate and Infrastructure Forum
Hewitt has recently conducted the UAE Real Estate and Infrastructure Forum 2009. The study involved 9 participating organizations from real estate development, real estate engineering & construction and real estate advisory sectors. The survey covered 10 Hewitt levels and 160 unique positions across 14 job families. Hewitt also conducted an Economic Impact Survey across the participant organizations to identify the impact of the current economic environment on their HR policies and practices.

II. Custom Surveys
Hewitt conducts custom compensation and benefits surveys to meet the rewards information needs of clients. We have conducted custom surveys for clients in the banking & financial services, real estate, telecom, oil & gas and media sectors. Data for a custom survey is gathered from organizations which a client wishes to benchmark itself with. Hewitt analyzes this data and provides compensation recommendations in terms of market positioning, critical statistical anchors and pay mix. Based on market data, we help clients in designing pay ranges, structure their pay mix, and transition employees to the new pay structure.
