Payroll Services

Hewitt provides accurate, on-time payroll administration—every time. The systems we use are powerful, flexible and most importantly, reliable.

You provide us with details of your employees and their individual packages, salaries and pay rates and we upload the information into our system for processing. We can handle an unlimited number of pay frequencies such as daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly; and an unlimited number of pay groups such as salaried or hourly paid, all within the same database.

Hewitt can also manage an unlimited number of user-defined earnings such as allowances, bonuses, commission, and overtime at any number of different rates and automate the rules around an employee's eligibility. We can accept input from a client's time and attendance system or we can supply our own integrated module. For those organizations where a time sheet is used for overtime processing, we can either calculate and input the quantums or provide a web-based workflow system that enables the employee to make a claim and his manager to approve online. Either way allowances such as transport or food associated with overtime can be handled by Hewitt automatically.

On the deduction side of the "gross-to-net" calculation in addition to the regulatory items mandated by the local governments, Hewitt can again handle an unlimited number of user-defined formulae and rules such as those relating to loans and union dues. From here we calculate employees' net pay and present you with a series of reports including variance analysis to approve the payroll. Once approved, Hewitt provides files for depositing with the bank and either prints hard-copy pay slips or provides e-pay slips. We balance and reconcile the results and handle the submissions to the local authorities. A rich set of reports is provided as standard for you to choose from or we can provide a data mart and reporting tool that enables you to write your own.

Tax Processing

Whether your country operates under a pay-as-you-earn system or individuals or the employer file returns annually, Hewitt Human Resources Outsourcing can perform a wide range of tasks to ensure that both you and your employees are fully prepared and compliant with local tax requirements. We stay abreast of legislative changes through consultants located in Hewitt's local offices. In addition, we prepare and file tax returns with local tax bureaus and print or publish tax forms online for employees.

Employee Expenses

Besides processing payroll, Hewitt Human Resource Outsourcing Services can handle employees' expense claims. With our self-service online Business Expense Module, employees can submit work-related expenses such as mobile phone, transportation, and entertainment for processing. They can view and track the status of their claims and there is an approval workflow for managers, after which it is passed to payroll for reimbursement. By paying through payroll, petty cash and banking activity can be minimized, often with real cost savings and because we set up your claims policies, rules and individual employee's eligibility in the system, you have minimum involvement in this otherwise time-consuming activity.
