Due to the changing economic environment, Hewitt conducted approximately forty individual country surveys between October and November 2008, regarding 2009 compensation planning. These surveys were designed to update our annual Salary Increase Survey and evaluate the impact of current economic conditions on compensation spending decisions, along with uncovering the key concerns on the minds of HR professionals. The results are now available.

The European region report includes summaries for both Western Europe and Central/Eastern Europe as well as individual country information for Austria, Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
