As the impact of the financial crisis spreads, how can you ensure that your
organisation will emerge from the downturn ahead of the rest? What immediate
measures should you be taking? How are others responding?
Hewitt conducted a global study to explore how the economic downturn is
influencing decisions and plans in the area of HR and employee and executive
rewards. In Europe, the study includes data from around 400 major companies.
The issues include: projected salary increases, short-term reward issues,
balancing the current trading constraints with the long-term goals of the
organisation in terms of talent acquisition and retention, the use of
incentives, workforce costs and downsizing plans. The key findings from this
study were presented in a teleconference on 12 December 2008.
