The findings of the third edition of the European HR Barometer, designed and carried out by Hewitt Associates on behalf of the European Club for human resources (EChr), show that there is an increasing awareness among HR professionals about the new horizon of their mission, and the need to acquire new competencies and responsibilities.

However, respondents recognize that the results of their activities in 14 out of 24 HR domains are lagging behind business expectations.

The Pan-European Barometer Report is now available and reveals new insight in relation to:

• Top HR priorities in 2008–2010;
• What drives HR;
• Where HR adds value and how it is measured;
• What will change in HR by 2010.

53 leading organisations employing in total more than 2.2 million people took part in the survey.
