Chance to win a cricket bat signed by the England team

LONDON - Hewitt Associates, a global human resources consulting and outsourcing company, has launched its 2009 Global Pension Risk survey. This year's survey aims to find out how the events of the past 18 months have changed views on addressing and managing risk in companies' Defined Benefit (DB) pension plans.

As an added incentive, if participants complete the survey before 18 September they will also be entered into a prize draw to win a cricket bat signed by the England team.

Kevin Wesbroom, head of Global Risk Services for Hewitt in the UK, said:

"The financial crisis has affected the health of many companies and their pension schemes, raising crucial questions on how best to manage risk.

"While last year's survey highlighted changes that occurred in companies' risk management between 2006 and 2008, the aim of this year's survey is to find out how the specific effects of the Credit Crunch have changed companies' views towards the risks they run with their pension plans – and how they are dealing with them."

The results of the survey will be published later this year. All participants will receive a copy of the final report which will help them to benchmark their own risk practices against the market, as well as giving them clear insight into the latest thinking in global pension risk management.
