The Pensions Regulator published a discussion paper on the governance of pension schemes in April 2007. The paper focuses on those areas where the Regulator continues to develop its priorities for regulation. A summary version of this discussion paper is available on the Regulator’s website.

Comments were invited on the Regulator's priorities, which are:

• Monitoring of employer covenant
• Administration
• Governance during wind up
• Conflicts of interest
• Relations with advisers
• Processes for investment choice
