• Outsourcing counselling. We advise on behalf of either the public body letting the contract, or on behalf of the contractor taking on the contract. The service provides a clear explanation of the available options to staff transferring to a new employer as a result of an outsourcing exercise.
• Admission to the local government pension scheme. We advise employers who wish to gain admission to a local government pension plan.
• Evaluation and projection of unfunded benefits. We can help employers who are concerned about the level of unfunded benefit entitlements granted to former staff by evaluating the total liability and producing cashflow projections. Figures can be provided for FRS17 accounting purposes.
• Coming out of a public sector plan. We can explain the material issues facing employers who are due to leave a local government pension plan, check the figures provided by the relevant authority and ensure that best practice is followed throughout the process.
