Hewitt is a specialist business consultancy. We listen to and advise many of the
largest companies in the world on their complex Human Resources issues and
challenges. Over 2,500 organisations around the world act on our advice. In
particular we help a wide range of organisations around the world to manage
their employees’ pension schemes, hundreds of billions of euros that form the
retirement income for millions of people.
Our consultants analyse the past, assess the present and predict the future to
help our clients control the risks that affect their pension schemes to best
ensure that the promised pensions can be paid when our clients’ employees
retire.
We simplify the complex for our clients through mathematical modelling,
actuarial techniques, practical problem solving and a good understanding of
businesses and people.
From our young and growing base in Budapest, we deliver a broad range of
actuarial services to our consultants and clients across Europe.
We analyse the pension promises made by companies, the investments backing those
future commitments and the financial and demographic changes that will affect
their value in the future. This requires detailed data analysis and
mathematical modelling skills as well as expertise in the legal and accounting
rules in each of our markets.
We predict likely future outcomes and illustrate to our clients the impact of
the risks that they must manage. Scenario and stochastic modelling applying
calculated probabilities and understanding of financial markets, general
business practices and social behaviours. The calculated results must be
communicated so that they are fully understood by our clients and consultants
who are not highly trained in those skills.
Our work is complex. Making sense of it all is our business.
Our success is driven by the professionalism, expertise and passion of our
people. We employ people with the highest potential and the right attitude; to
encourage them to develop their skills, their confidence and to challenge them
in new directions. We make career support and new opportunities available to
everyone.
At Hewitt we strongly believe in rewarding top performance and high impact. If
you have what it takes, responsibility will arrive sooner than you think.
Pensions Actuarial Services
Hewitt’s Pension Consulting business in Europe advises large national and
international organisations across all major and emerging markets in Europe. We
examine the retirement benefits that are promised to our clients’ employees. It
is the largest part of Hewitt’s business in Europe.
A large amount of information and factors needs to be considered: is the data
credible; is there something unusual about the past compared to the future;
what impact do these factors have on our assessment?<.p>
Our consultants can then help our clients predict the size and timing of the
future pension payments and determine the amount and types of investments to
support those payments.
Our advice helps our clients manage and monitor their risks and financing. We
help them re-design the type of pensions they provide. We also provide the
advice that can make or break a corporate transaction, particularly in the ever
increasing world of private equity mergers and takeovers.
Our young and growing Pensions Actuarial Services team in Budapest work with
hundreds of Hewitt associates from across Europe. We deliver high quality in
depth analysis and guidance to our experienced consultants, helping them to
deliver the most valued advice to our clients. Our expertise and specialist
knowledge in Budapest is adding real value to Hewitt’s business and to our
clients.
