Our brokerage team is extremely experienced and knowledgeable about the Puerto Rico market. All members of our team are licensed brokers with expertise in underwriting, financing, designing and communicating plans with a vast experience in Puerto Rico’s employee benefits.

The services we provide include:

  • Analysis and negotiation of benefit program design – either in their entirety or as "carve outs", including medical, pharmacy, vision, dental, life, disability (long and short term), AD &D, SINOT and supplemental insurances
  • Vendor selection processes for all above benefits including negotiation of pricing, financing of plans, whether insured or self-insured, and utilization of any international pooling arrangements.
  • Establishment of performance standards and metrics for vendors in terms of plan performance and customer service requirements
  • Information on market trends
  • Annual planning to determine strategy based on health care inflation and business objectives for the Plan Year
  • Support through case management for major medical issues
  • Trouble shooting any issues that arise between our client and their vendors

    • Monitoring of Utilization Patterns/Evaluation of monthly claims to identify red flags
    • Monthly/Quarterly Meetings to discuss utilization reports and recommendations with HR Team and vendors
    • Develop communication strategies to create employee awareness of rising costs and promote wise use of healthcare benefits
  • Service and Quality Issues Management
    • HR Advocacy—In the Set-up and implementation process, assistance with account structure and billing procedures and issues
    • Coordination of ERISA Form 5500 for health and welfare plans
