In addition to supporting many local causes, Hewitt has selected
a group of national/international causes that align to our giving mission.
America Scores

healthy living, and civic responsibility in urban children. It's the only U.S.
after-school program that uses soccer, creative writing, and community service
to build healthy bodies, healthy minds, and healthy communications among
at-risk youth.

Hewitt Career Centers
The Hewitt Career Centers prepares young adults to enter and
compete in our global society. At the Centers, students identify their
interests and make informed choices about what to do after graduation.
Additionally, students have access to technology tools for career navigation, a
dedicated career counseling staff, and partnerships with employers for career
inspiration. Our first center was built in 2004 at Waukegan High School in
Waukegan, Illinois. School officials there directly correlate the Center with
an increased graduation rate, decreased truancy, and a decreasing drop-out
rate. A second Center, at Therrell High School in Atlanta, Georgia opened this
fall. Construction of our third Career Center is underway at Lane Technical
High School in Chicago. We continue to look for opportunities to expand this
program into other Hewitt communities.
Junior Achievement
AchievementJunior Achievement provides students—from grade school to high
school-with the educational tools and inspiration to value free enterprise,
business, and economics, preparing them for future economic and workforce
issues.
