LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill. — Hewitt Associates, a global human resources consulting and outsourcing company, announced today it has opened an on-site wellness center and pharmacy at its Lincolnshire headquarters. The Choose Health Wellness Center is the centerpiece of Hewitt's renewed U.S. wellness program, which is fully integrated with its overall employee health plan benefits and designed to help employees stay healthy while reducing their health care costs. Hewitt plans to open additional wellness centers in select U.S. offices later this year.

Staffed by a physician-led team of nurses and nurse practitioners from Comprehensive Health Services (CHS), Hewitt's Choose Health Wellness Center offers employees a number of medical services, including health screenings, lab tests, immunizations and allergy shots, and comprehensive health exams. The center also features an on-site pharmacy, staffed by licensed pharmacists from CVS Caremark, where employees can fill prescriptions and purchase over-the-counter medications and supplies, vitamins, and a wide selection of daily-use products. Medical and prescription services are offered at a discount for employees enrolled in Hewitt's medical plan.

In addition to the on-site wellness center, Hewitt offers its employees Health Risk Questionnaires (HRQ)—which more than 90 percent of employees have already completed—to help them identify their health risks. Employees can then act on that information by taking advantage of the company's other offerings, such as disease management programs, on-site weight-loss programs, fitness boot camps and smoking cessation programs. Hewitt's employees can also tap in to free and confidential online and telephonic health coaching—offered 24-hours a day, 7 days a week—where they can access health professionals for advice and guidance on a variety of health concerns and questions. In addition, via the Choose Health Web site, Hewitt employees can access tools and resources such as Personal Health Records (PHR), immunization trackers, workout trackers, and medication trackers. Weekly health articles, recipes, exercise tips, and diet guides are also available.
