Hewitt earns top outsourcing honors. The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) named Hewitt a Top HR Provider as part of their Global Outsourcing 100 Awards. The IAOP is an advocate for the outsourcing profession and defines standards of excellence in outsourcing service delivery. Honors are given to those organizations that garner high marks from an independent panel of judges that rigorously evaluates them on four key criteria: size and growth, customer experience, depth and breadth of competencies, and management capability. Michael F. Corbett, Executive Director of the IAOP, said, “This is a tremendous achievement that speaks to Hewitt’s position as one of the industry’s leaders.”

Dale Gifford honored for diversity leadership. The Diversity Best Practices Council and Business Women’s Network have chosen Hewitt’s recently retired CEO Dale Gifford as a recipient of their 2006 Diversity Leadership Award. The award recognizes the achievements of companies and their CEOs for championing diversity. The mission of the Diversity Best Practices Council is to identify emerging issues and provide cutting-edge research, thought leadership, and advocacy for diversity management. The Business Women’s Network partners with companies to support the millions of women in business around the world.

Reflecting on his contribution to workforce diversity during 14 years as CEO of Hewitt, Gifford said, “This honor is not about me; it’s about all of us, and our ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion. Hewitt continues to embrace diversity in all its forms—including race, gender, thinking styles, culture, sexual orientation, age, nationality, and religion. It’s how we will succeed together in making the world a better place to work—for everyone.”

Several of Hewitt’s clients were also recognized for their CEOs’ commitment:
Edward M. Liddy, Chairman and CEO, Allstate Insurance
Reuben Mark, Chairman and CEO, Colgate-Palmolive
James S. Turley, Chairman and Global Chief Executive, Ernst & Young
Robert (Bob) L. Nardelli, Chairman, President, and CEO, The Home Depot
Patricia F. Russo, Chairman and CEO, Lucent Technologies
Richard D. Parsons, Chairman and CEO, Time Warner
Steven R. Rogel, Chairman, President, and CEO, Weyerhaeuser

Hewitt recognized for clean air initiative. Hewitt and Jones Lang LaSalle, their property management company, were recognized by Clean Air Counts for significantly reducing air pollution through the introduction of efficient lighting, workforce transportation options, and low volatile organic compounds (VOC) paint and products at their Lincolnshire, Illinois, campus. According to Linda Stillmaker, Hewitt’s North America Site Services Leader, “Hewitt strives to make energy-efficient and earth-friendly choices in their facilities worldwide.” Clean Air Counts is an organization that encourages voluntary actions by individuals, businesses, and communities to improve air quality.
