Hewitt clients named HRO Superstars. Seven Hewitt clients, as well as Hewitt's President of HR Outsourcing, Bryan Doyle, were named HRO Today Superstars for 2006. They were selected by HRO Today magazine for
their "vision, influence, and tenacity" in transforming HR. This year's
list includes 154 HRO providers, buyers, consultants, and advisors from North America and Europe. The seven clients named Superstars are:
Mark Azzarello, Director, HR Operations, International Paper
Ray Goldberg, VP HR, North America Operations, Lucent Technologies
Bill MacGowan, SVP HR, Sun Microsystems
Shannon McFayden, Head of HR and Corporate Relations, Wachovia
Rose Patten, Senior EVP of HR, BMO Financial Group
Joseph Ryan, Director, Global HR Transformation, Johnson & Johnson
Sharon Taylor, VP HR, Prudential Financial
China bestows two awards on Hewitt. Two leading HR publications in China have given Hewitt top honors for consulting and outsourcing services. Readers of SMART FORTUNE magazine chose Hewitt as the Outstanding HR Consulting Firm of the Year for 2005, as well as the Outstanding Consulting Firm for Compensation and Performance Management. In a ceremony held at the People's Great Hall in Beijing, a representative of the magazine stated that Hewitt "clearly stood out as the firm offering tailored and integrated HR solutions to clients, thereby enhancing the clients' competitive advantage in the market." Separately, China STAFF magazine selected Hewitt as the
2005 Consulting Firm of the Year for Change Management and 2005
HR Outsourcing Firm of the Year. This marks the seventh time Hewitt has been acknowledged by the magazine.
More than 100 U.S. charities receive Hewitt Associates Foundation grants. Soup kitchens, after-school programs for at-risk children, and Hurricane Katrina relief efforts are among the recipients of grants
from the Hewitt Associates Foundation in 2005. Associates throughout the United States raise money for the grant program through voluntary payroll deductions, an annual gala, and other fund-raising activities. A unique aspect is that foundation funding is provided only to associate-nominated organizations. Selection criteria include having a mission of serving the economically disadvantaged and a smaller budget so that any foundation funding can truly make a difference. A total of $569,000 was awarded to 105 organizations across the country. This marks the 17th year that the foundation has distributed grants.
