Programs to Keep You Healthy

Medical Care

To protect you and your family against extraordinary medical expenses. The Medical Plan provides a range of choices — depending on your location: a High Deductible Medical Plan with a Health Savings Account option, a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) option, an Exclusive Provider Organization (EPO) option, and a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) option. All these options include prescription drug coverage.

Dental Care

To provide you and your family with coverage for preventive dental care and protection against extraordinary dental expenses. The plan pays all or a portion of eligible expenses for a wide range of services and gives you the option of going to the dentist of your choice.

Vision Care

To help you pay expenses associated with eye care. The plan provides coverage for exams, lenses, frames, and contact lens expenses.

Health Care Flexible Spending Account

To provide you with a tax-effective means of paying for eligible health and related expenses not covered by medical, dental, or vision plans. You can deposit up to $5,000 pre-tax into this account each year. Features of Hewitt's Your Spending Account administrative services also make it convenient for you to use these pre-tax account dollars to help you pay for your or your covered family member's eligible expenses.

Health and Wellness Credits — Choose Health Wellness Program

To help you pay the costs of the health care choices you make. Hewitt subsidizes the cost of your medical and dental costs based on your elections, and provides wellness credits based on your completion of a confidential Health Risk Questionnaire (HRQ). These credits are provided to help purchase your health care coverage, to help you focus on your overall health, and to address any health risks you may have (as confidentially identified by our third-party provider through your completion of the HRQ). Also, through the free and confidential Choose Health Wellness program, you and your dependents will have access to a wide variety of tools and resources including online health coaching, a 24/7 nurse help line, and telephonic health coaching for certain disease states). You can use your credits to help purchase your medical, dental, and vision coverage. If you have other coverage and do not need coverage through Hewitt, you can also "opt out" and use your available credits to help purchase other pre-tax benefits, take them as cash after-tax over each pay period during the year, or contribute them to your Retirement and Savings Plan 401(k) account. Even if you opt out of medical coverage, you may still take the HRQ and utilize the Choose Health Wellness program offerings that are available. Your health, and that of your dependents, is important to Hewitt.

On-site Choose Health Wellness Centers (Specific locations only)

To provide convenient access to health care services. Hewitt has a confidential (run by third-party vendors) on-site health clinic and pharmacy at its largest location in Lincolnshire, Illinois (open in January 2009). With plans for another location in The Woodlands, Texas, Hewitt is committed to providing you with easy, confidential, and convenient access to health care at the office. The Lincolnshire site will include a medical clinic that will provide preventative care exams, laboratory services, allergy shots, immunizations, etc. along with a fully functioning pharmacy with prescription drug services, pharmacy counseling, and over-the-counter medications and supplies.

Programs to Build Financial Security

Retirement and Savings Plan

To help you in your overall retirement strategy and to save for your retirement. You can contribute up to 50% of your pay on a before-tax and/or after-tax basis, up to the legislative limits. You also have the option of making Roth 401(k) contributions and if your age 50 or older, catch-up contributions to both the before-tax 401(k) and Roth 401(k), up to the legislative limits.

You choose how your savings are invested among a variety of investment funds that include Target Retirement Portfolios (a pre-mix of our investment options), and can take loans against your vested balance. You also may easily roll a 401(k) balance into this plan from a prior employer.

Annual Hewitt Profit Share Contribution

Hewitt makes an annual contribution to your savings account based on your total pay (base pay plus variable pay) earned during the fiscal year. You vest in Hewitt's annual contribution after 3 years of service.

The annual rate of accrual increases at 4, 8, and 12 complete years of service, up to a maximum of 27 days each year.
